Loss

"Mother"

The view down into the valley,
from that hill, sweet hill, sweet home.
Here we used to walk together,
on Sundays, after brunch.
We kids didn't want to go,
but now I wish we could.
Just one more time.

(View into the Wyna valley, Switzerland, on a cold December afternoon in 2006,
from the location where we scattered mother's ashes after she passed away in May 2004.)

The strangeness of childhood experience, and sometimes it lasts, sometimes we come back to it, the same vision, vivid, but always changed.
